Recently I graduated with a Bachelor's in Technology, majoring in Computer Engineering at VIT, Pune. Sometime around the start of 3rd year in college, I realized that I was more drawn towards designing experiences, and that's when I decided to divert my career path into UX design. Being a person of colour, I understand the need for representation, and so I try to focus my research and design skills to uplift underrepresented communities. 2020 gave me an amazing opportunity to work on an AI-based project I am most passionate about, which is focused on eliminating online hate speech. My recent research in the field of HCI is concentrated on studying the exposure of Hate Speech among Twitter & Instagram users.

Transitioning into the world of user experience has taught me that reading is key.

I'm an enthusiastic language learner and am currently in the process of learning Korean. Here's me practicing the Hangul.

When I'm not designing, I spend time learning a new language or journal. Over the past few years, I've taught myself Korean by listening to music, watching dramas and practicing Hangul (sounds pretty exciting right!). I've also been self-learning French after studying a couple of courses in high school. This hobby of mine has helped me empathize with various cultures and relates highly to my work in UX Design.
